Drumbinnisk Lane

This small almost circular townland is situated between the Golan Rd and the main road. In the days when people walked to worship in Aghadrumsee at either church there was a route from the Carneyhome Rd via the lane to one McDonald farm, then Elliott’s lane and then Creighton’s lane to the main road, up Drumbinnisk lane to the Golan Rd. Then one had the choice of following the Killylacky road or going to Drumaa lane. There was another route up Rossbrick lane which also served the bog at Tireevil. This was probably the route in writers of this petition had in mind. Unfortunately it is not dated but we believe it to be from the 1930s McCaffrey
