Kildermott which means "Dermott's church" was a townland somewhere in the region of the modern day townland of Mounty Darby. However, no records or physical evidence has been found on where this church may have been. It is possible that a chapel pre-dating St McCartans, Drumswords stood somewhere in this historic townland.
