Old Dublin Road

OSMap 1835 showing the old Dublin road

Killylifferbane is crossed by an old road from Drummonds Glebe across Tattynacunnian and on to Mullyvea Glebe, thus joining three glebe townlands. This old road was referred to as the Old Dublin Road and at the Drummons end one can follow its route coming out to Drumady Church and on to Lacky bridge and Clones. At the other end after Mullavea Glebe it crosses Annahilly North, from where it could have turned west and joined the Fivemiletown road or turned east and at some distance joined the other old road which came up through Dernacloy.
